Dragon's & Armour

Hi everybody! It has just become March 1st and I have for you what I think is a pretty cool mani! I just got my two new plates from Messy Mansion..MM04 and MM05! Dragons and St.Patrick's Day! Well I picked the dragons first as I LOVE dragons and it's not quite time for St. Patty's Day :) I can't say enough about the quality and interesting images of the MM series..I simply cannot get enough of them and I must have them all! Muhahaha! Plus add in some great customer service and what more could a gal ask for?? This mani is also way more sparkly in person! So anyway...on with the pics! I'll put what I used at the end of the post.

The first 2 pics are in dim artificial lighting and the bottom 2 are taken outside without sun.

Next two pics are of I'm Not Lion..a gorgeous champagne gold fine glitter. First pic is dim artificial lighting and the last pic is outside with no sun.

Hopefully you liked! I'm a sucker for dragons!! The dragons I stamped with Konad Black because they weren't dark enough with Wet'n'Wild Black Creme. This plate is available here: http://www.messymansion.com.au/

What I used:
Base: China Glaze I'm Not Lion (3 coats)
Stamped: Wet'n'Wild Black Creme and MM05

31 Day Challenge ( Colors )

Hi everybody! Instead of posting everyday of the challenge I thought I would break it up into 3 categories and hope all the pictures fit in one post! Some days have more than one pic because it's reallly hard to pick just one..lol. So on with the pics! Hope you like :)

The first one up is Day 1: Red Nails..this is OPI Big Apple Red (2 coats). Amazing crelly formula..amazing shine..THE perfect red :)

Day 1: Red Nails (cont'd)...So I stamped over it with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Wined Up & DRK-C XL Plate
Day 2: Orange Nails...OPI A Roll in the Hague (2 coats). A bit thick but still manageable and leveled nicely. This is THE perfect orange! Bright, shiny...what more could you want? ;)
Day 2: Orange Nails (cont'd)..Layered Glitter Gal Orange Sparkle over the above orange because I wanted to share this baby but not use it all!! Oh how I love GG!! This is more of a coral leaning orange by itself but paired with the intense beauty above it was perfect orange holo/sparkle!
Day 3: Yellow Nails..NOPI Ladies in the Limelight (2 coats) layered with Essie Pure Pearlfection. A match made in yellow heaven if I do say so myself ;)
Day 4: Green Nails..Started out with 2 coats of China Glaze Near Dark (the perfect blackened army green), layered HITS Borealis..ended up looking a touch too gold so I layered Glitter Gal Deep Green Sparkle and it was green perfection!! Definitely enlarge this photo!
Day 5: Blue Nails...Layla Metallic Sky. Certainly could've done better..got lazy I guess :( The magnet on this SUCKED! First and last Layla I will ever pay full price for.
Day 6: Violet Nails...Zoya Malia (2 coats) purple perfection..love this color! Stamped with China Glaze Harmony & DRK-B XL Plate. Love how this turned out!
Day 7: Black & White Nails...Glitter Gal Black Sparkle (2 coats). Perfect formula! Great holo/sparkle but it just would not photograph properly with the white over it :( Stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White & DRK-A XL Plate.
Day 7: Black & White Nails (cont'd)...Zoya Storm and piCture pOlish atomic. First needle mani ever...easy to do but still need some practice. It looked like pink and black in the sun..
Day 8: Metallic Nails...Color Club Hot Like Lava (2 coats) sponged at the tips with more Hot Like Lava but it ended up looking silvery pink..the sponge took all the hot pink out!
Day 8: Metallic Nails (cont'd)...Hot Like Lava stamped with Rimmel Zing & Cheeky XL Plate B, then stamped again with China Glaze Joy & Cheeky XL Plate B ( different image). Turned out cool but toned down the hot pink...
Day 9: Rainbow Nails..Started out with Orly Au Champagne (1 coat) sponged with ( bottom to top) OPI Call Me Gwen-Ever, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lightning, Essie Mojito Madness, OPI Dating a Royal, China Glaze Grape Pop and Orly Frolic. I added some China Glaze Fairy Dust as a topcoat. I was dreading doing this one but it turned out better than expected..sort of ;)
Day 9: Rainbow Nails (cont'd)...another angle..
Day 10: Gradient Nails..Orly Frolic (2 coats), sponged on Sinful Colors Dream On, then China Glaze Creative Fantasy. This is SO much brighter in person but as you likely know it's super hard to get a decent photo of neons.
Day 10: Gradient Nails (cont'd)..so I added Ninja Polish Alexandrite for a little extra something.
So that's it for the first part of the challenge..next up is the Patterns section of the challenge. Hope you liked :)
Bye for now ;)

Sally Hansen's Lustre Shine Gilt Stamped

Hi everyone! I have for you Sally Hansen's Lustre Shine Gilt. Another pretty duohrome...i'm thinking this is similar to one of China Glaze's Bohemian shades but I can't remember which one. It looks like a champagne gold but flashes pink..it's a lot duochrome not just a little. It had a great formula, I used 3 coats. It applied with brushstrokes but when it was dry they seemed to disappear..yay! So as usual i'll work my way backwards from the finished product and there's an extra at the end so keep scrolling ;)

This second pic is indoors with dim lighting. The top and bottom pics are outdoors with no sun.

The top pic is indoors with dim lighting. The next two are outdoors with no sun.

And these last 3 pics are me testing out Gilt's stamping ability, it passed! Looks great stamped over OPI Black Onyx..only 1 coat of OPI was needed. I used plate GA34 (Gals Fairy Set) which I bought directly from Cheeky Beauty's website...and they ship to Canada for FREE! All three of the next pics are outdoors with no sun.

Ok folks...hope you like this post! I enjoyed Gilt much more than I thought I would and it's nice to have polish' that are so versatile. Will you be buying any of the Lustre Shine polish'?

What I used (1st mani):
Base: SH Gilt 3 coats
Stamped: Plate GA32 and China Glaze Joy

Stamping with Boop-Oop-A-Dupe and Royal

Hi everyone! I know I posted Boop-Oop-A-Dupe over China Glaze Frostbite previously but I really wanted to see it over Revlon Royal and add some stamping. Also last time the green shimmery douchrome goodness was elusive to my camera but this time I got pics and it's awesome!! So is Revlon Royal. I'll start with the finished product and work my backwards..on with the picture spam :)

Next two pics are matte..I really wanted to see how that would look. It's neat but I liked the shimmery bling more.
I had to tilt my hands at some weird angles in order to get that green shimmery goodness so the pics aren't the prettiest! One day i'll get a real camera and not just Camera+ on my iphone!
*Drool*...can't get enough of this polish!! Look at that firey goodness?! It has a great formula..no issues with application whatsoever! I bought mine at Llarowe.com as well as the DRK XL Plates series...which you all must have gathered by now that I LOVE!!
 *More drool*...and here's it's other lovely personality..isn't that green amazing? I LOVE Boop-Oop-A-Dupe!!! For sure a fave of 2012 :)

And lastly I have Revlon Royal..this polish is squishy goodness! A lovely saturated bright blue that looks more purple blue in person. Great application..a slow thin first coat is the best way to go and then the second pulls it all together perfectly. I can see why this is a blogger favorite. I found mine at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Well I hope you like this mani as much as I did...for once it was hard to change mani's!

What I used:
Base: Revlon Royal 2 coats
Layered: Nail Pattern Boldness Boop-Oop-A-Dupe 2 coats
Stamp: NPB Boop-Oop-A-Dupe, DRK-C XL Plate

Happy Valentine's for those of you that celebrate this day..sometimes I do and sometimes I don't...this year I told my hubby not to bother but when he didn't do anything I was a little sad...totally my fault though! lol Aren't we women silly?? Hope you like! Again...Happy V Day <3

What I used:
Thumb, pinky, middle fingers OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips 2 coats
Pointer, ring fingers China Glaze Dance Baby 2 coats
Sponged opposite colors on opposite fingers
Stamped with DRK-A XL plate which I bought at Ninjapolish.com

Lotsa Layers!!

Hi everybody! Tonight I have quite the layered look to share. So I started out with OPI...Eurso Euro, then OPI DS Magic, then piCture pOlish mask-a-rade, add topcoat...stamped with Sinful Colors Dream On..more topcoat...too subtle for my liking so stamped again with China Glaze Emotion and DRK-B XL Plate! That wasn't enough..added more Sinful Colors Dream On with the same image and MORE topcoat!! It looks like I have fake nails they're so thick! lol Oh..and I added China Glaze Fairy Dust to my ring fingers as an accent...on with the results!

First pic is in natural lighting...outside and by golly there was some sun present! *gasp*
Next up is taken inside, dim artificial lighting.
Here was my first stamping attempt but it was just too subtle..even with topcoat it just didn't pop.
This is with one coat of OPI DS Magic and it's beautiful! It looked more duochrome in person..flashing between blue and purple.
The next two pics are OPI..Eurso Euro..2 coats. The above pic is in natural lighting..with sun present! The bottom one is in dim artificial lighting. The bottom is truer to actual color but I find this leans deeper blue and more towards purple or navy blue than these pics. The first coat was patchy but the second one filled it in beautifully.
I am actually really liking how this all turned out! Love that stamping image...it's not a full nail image (although it's big enough to be) so you can have fun and place it where you want it. Hope you like :)
